Description
When cutting or drilling a wide variety of materials, diamond core bits, diamond cutting discs and diamond countersinks often become blunt. This sharpening plate can be used to restore the initial segment sharpness of diamond tools that have become blunt, restoring the tool's full drilling and cutting ability. Regular inspection and resharpening is particularly recommended for dry-used diamond tools to prevent overheating and complete unusability and to increase the service life.

Incidentally, this process does not involve sharpening the diamonds themselves, but rather breaking down the bond to such an extent that the diamonds are exposed again and can cut optimally.

Application

Dry cutting: Guide the tool into the sharpening plate in dry cutting mode at full speed up to the edge of the segment.
Switch off the machine: Switch off the machine and apply light pressure so that the tool is slowed down in the sharpening plate or runs out.
Repeat: Repeat the process until the diamond structure can be felt and seen again (usually 2-5 cuts).
Check sharpness: As soon as the diamond structure can be felt and seen again, the tool is sharp and ready for use again.
