Diamond core drill DKB182/H

Kraft und Präzision; im Handbetrieb oder mit Kernbohrständer

Description

Diamond core drill DKB182/H for wet and dry operation

Power and precision; in manual mode or with core drill rig
The DKB182/H diamond core drill has been developed for tough everyday use and impresses with its high performance and reliability. It is ideal for core drilling in reinforced concrete or concrete in wet cutting as well as for processing sand-lime brick, masonry, clinker or brick in dry cutting. The core drill can be used in manual mode or with a core drill rig.

Powerful and effortless to use
The electric motor with an output of 2300 watts ensures a very high torque and is suitable for all tasks up to a maximum drilling diameter of 132 mm (in manual mode) or 182 mm (with core drill rig). Despite its high performance, the diamond core drill is light and easy to handle with a weight of just 6.3 kg.

Soft start function for precise and gentle drilling
The DKB182/H diamond core drill has a soft start function that offers the following advantages by slowly increasing the speed and power:
  • Reduced starting load for the machine and power supply.
  • Better control of the machine and greater precision when starting the drilling process.
  • Torque shock is reduced, which is safer and more comfortable for the user.
  • A smooth start reduces the risk of cracks and fractures in the material.
Versatile application possibilities
  • The DKB182/H diamond core drill has a 3-speed gearbox with grease lubrication and offers idle speeds of 740, 1630 and 3270 rpm.
  • The machine's drill spindle has a 1¼" UNC external thread and a G½" internal thread for holding a drill bit and a centre point.
  • The diamond core drilling machine is mounted on a core drill rig using the clamping neck (Ø 60 mm) of the machine. The DKB182/H is compatible with our KBS-252/Light-K, KBS-252/M-PRO, KBS-280M and TBS-3000/PRO core drill rigs.
  • The machine is connected to an industrial hoover or to the water supply via the supplied adapter for hoover (drill Ø 35 mm) or water supply (Gardena).
  • This enables optimum adaptation to a wide range of tasks.
Safety and robustness
  • Protective devices: Electronic overload protection and a mechanical slip clutch ensure the safety of the operator and a long service life of the device.
  • Coredrill stand: We always recommend the use of a core drill stand for safe and precise operation of the core drill. During hand-guided drilling, the drill bit can jam and cause the machine to twist, despite the protective mechanisms. A core drill stand provides stable guidance, reliably prevents the machine from twisting and enables precise drilling. This makes handling easier and noticeably increases work safety.
  • Sturdy storage case: The plastic case included in the scope of delivery is used for practical and careful storage of the machine and accessories supplied.

Optional accessories for diamond core drilling machine DKB182/H
In order to use the diamond core drilling machine safely and efficiently, we offer a range of optional accessories that have been specially developed to meet the requirements of professional craftsmen:

Core drill stand:
Core drill stand KBS-252/Light-K (item no. 6195)
Core drill stand KBS-252/M-PRO (item no. 6217)
Core drill stand KBS-280M (item no. 1909).
Telescopic core drill stand TBS-3000/PRO (item no. 6297).

The core drill stands are the perfect complement to the DKB182/H core drill; specially designed for precise and safe drilling work.

Water tank WT-60 (item no. 6270) and WT-60/S (with hose reel | item no.
6271):
The WT-60 water tank or the WT-60/S variant with hose reel offer a reliable and flexible water supply for professional use on construction sites and in workshops.

Water collection ring (various dimensions available):
A water collection ring ensures reliable collection and drainage of water during wet core drilling. The water collection ring connection must be connected to a wet vacuum cleaner.

Industrial hoover TS-38/HEPA (item no. 6442):

The TS-38/HEPA dry vacuum cleaner is a powerful and versatile cleaning device that is suitable for picking up dry, non-combustible dust.

Experience the impressive technology of the DKB182/H diamond core drill and optimise your core drilling work for maximum precision and efficiency.

Advantages of wet core drilling
Wet core drilling offers several decisive advantages over dry core drilling:
  • Less dust generation: Wet core drilling uses water to cool the drilling area and bind the resulting dust. This results in a healthier working environment and less cleaning work.
  • Effective cooling: The cooling effect of the water prevents the drill bit from overheating and increases its service life. The constant cooling enables faster and more efficient drilling, as no cooling breaks are required. Cooling also reduces the risk of material damage due to overheating of the material around the drill hole.
  • Higher drilling quality: Wet drilling produces more precise and smoother holes, which are needed for applications with high accuracy requirements.
  • Longer drill life: Cooling by water leads to less wear and longer tool life, which saves costs.
  • Less noise: The wet process is generally quieter than the dry process. The water dampens the vibrations and reduces the noise generated during the drilling process.
  • Faster drilling process: Due to the lower friction and constant cooling, the wet process enables drilling with higher feed pressure and higher speed. This means that wet drilling can generally be carried out faster than dry drilling.
  • Better suited to hard materials: Wet drilling is particularly suitable for harder materials such as concrete, granite or reinforced concrete, as the cooling and reduced wear make drilling in these solid materials more effective.
  • Versatile: The wet drilling method can be used for both vertical and horizontal drilling and is suitable for different materials (concrete, stone, brick).
The wet method for core drilling offers numerous advantages, particularly in terms of work safety, service life and drilling quality. It is particularly recommended for demanding and precise drilling in hard materials and in dust-sensitive environments.

Advantages of dry core drilling
The dry core drilling method also has some specific advantages over the wet drilling method. Although it is used less frequently in certain situations, it offers significant advantages in suitable applications:
  • No water is required: Creating a borehole using the dry method is independent of the availability of water. This also results in simpler logistics, as no hoses and fittings or water supply system are required.
  • Prevention of water damage: With dry drilling there is no risk of water damage, which is particularly important in sensitive buildings (e.g. old buildings) or in the vicinity of electrical installations.
  • Clean environment without water residue: With dry drilling, the surrounding area remains free of water and mud, which means less effort is required to clean the work area afterwards.
  • Quick deployment and fewer accessories: As dry drilling does not require a water supply system, the equipment is generally easier and quicker to set up.
  • Lower costs: Dry drilling is generally cheaper than wet drilling as no water supply system and fewer accessories are required. Cleaning costs are also largely eliminated as there is no sludge.
  • Flexibility and mobility: Dry drilling is often more flexible and easier to mobilise as less equipment is required. The dry drilling method is very suitable for smaller boreholes, where disadvantages such as dust generation are less significant.
  • No sludge or waste water: While wet drilling often produces sludge that has to be disposed of, dry drilling is more environmentally friendly in this respect.
  • Reduced risk at low temperatures: Dry drilling offers advantages in cold environments or at low temperatures, as water can freeze and hinder work. Especially in winter, dry drilling offers a safe alternative to wet drilling.
Dry drilling has clear advantages in situations where water is undesirable or difficult to handle, e.g. indoors, in remote locations or when working in sensitive environments. It is particularly suitable for smaller holes and offers a practical, cost-effective and flexible solution for a wide range of applications.
